As electric vehicle (EV) adoption accelerates across the UK, the landscape of grants and incentives available to businesses has become increasingly complex. Yet many SMEs and site owners still struggle to identify what support they’re eligible for - or how to access it.

We were commissioned by UKEV Installations to develop a practical guide that would help business clients navigate EV charger funding options in England. The result was a professionally designed, easy-to-use resource that translated policy into action.

Research-led, audience-focused

The brief was clear: create a guide that would simplify EV charger funding for businesses, without oversimplifying the facts.

The guide needed to:

  • Cover key schemes available in England

  • Be accurate, up to date, and practically useful

  • Reflect both commercial and workplace use cases

  • Include real-world language suitable for time-poor business owners

To achieve this, we led:

  • Independent research into available national and local funding streams

  • Distillation of government guidance, eligibility criteria, and application processes

  • Structuring of content to suit UKEV’s audience of facilities managers, business owners, and estate teams

  • Liaison with the UKEV team to ensure alignment with their customer journey and services

Designed for usability and reach

Once the copy was finalised, the guide was designed and published as a downloadable asset - becoming a cornerstone of UKEV Installations’ content marketing and client onboarding.

The final product delivered:

  • A clear, well-structured PDF covering key funding options

  • Embedded calls to action linked to UKEV’s install and advisory services

  • A resource that could be used in sales conversations, tenders, and email campaigns

Why this matters

Policy-led funding is often difficult for businesses to act on without interpretation. By translating funding complexity into accessible guidance, this project supported both customer empowerment and commercial conversion - offering value to UKEV clients and strengthening the brand’s reputation as a knowledgeable, helpful provider.
